Lap-A-Thon and Awards Party Logistics
The 2025 Lap-A-Thon swim and awards party are tomorrow! These events are open to all swimmers!
It’s not too late to sign up for the Lap-A-Thon, and participants can continue to collect pledges through July 26. We are fundraising for a new lane line reel, a Team Records board, and more.
Lap-A-Thon participants should bring someone (a parent, sibling, friend) who can count their laps. We will provide notecards and pencils to record number of laps. There will be a few volunteers on hand who can count laps for swimmers who don’t have someone to count their laps.
Laps will be swum in two groups. Younger swimmers will swim from 5:10 - 5:40, and older swimmers will swim from 5:45 - 6:15.
The Awards Party will follow the Lap-A-Thon. Dinner will be potluck-style, followed by awards and night swimming. You can sign up in Swimtopia to bring a dish and help out with the potluck.
Here is the schedule:
4:45 - 5:10 Lap-A-Thon Check-In
5:10 - 5:40 10&under Lap-A-Thon swimmers
5:45 - 6:15 11&over Lap-A-Thon swimmers (including adults)
6:30 Potluck Dinner
7:00 Awards
7:30 Night swimming

Straehle Information
Straehle qualifiers have received a separate email with all of the information that we have been given at this point. We are still waiting on warm-up assignments and volunteer assignments. I will share more information when it becomes available, or you can check the CMSL website.
Divisionals Information
Divisionals swimmers received a separate email from me this week. There have been a few slight changes to the lineup, which is attached to this email. If your swimmer is on this roster and they are NOT planning to participate in Divisionals, please let me know asap so we can get another swimmer into the meet.
We still need the following volunteers for Divisionals: 1 Clerk of Course (second half), 2 relief timers (one per half), 2 table workers (one per half), 3 timers (2 first half, 1 second half). You can volunteer by signing up in Swimtopia.
See you tomorrow!
Linn
